School Tour Booking Information
Thank you for your inquiry about a school tour with SF City Guides. We offer some of our most popular tours for school students and groups from fourth grade through high school: Chinatown, Gold Rush City, 1906 Earthquake and Fire, Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, and Mission Murals.
All school tours are 1 hour and content is adjusted for younger audiences.
The cost is $5 per child and chaperones are free.
You must provide a non-refundable deposit for a minimum of ten young people and two adults, ($50) which is due when you receive the confirmation email. The balance is due before the tour is given, and can be paid by credit card or check sent to our office.
If no deposit money is received within two weeks’ time of confirmation it is assumed that you no longer want a tour and your tour is cancelled.
You must provide one adult for every eight students, with a minimum of two adults for small groups of less than eight.
To schedule a tour or request additional information, please complete and submit the form at the bottom of this page.
Please note: You will be notified within 10 business days, from the date of your initial emailed tour request as to whether City Guides can fulfill your request. To be clear, all City Guides are volunteers therefore there is a small chance that we will not be able to fulfill your request, even after an exhaustive search for guides.
City Guides Cancellation Policy:
1) If the requestor cancels the tour, the deposit is forfeited.
2) If in an emergency a guide cannot do the tour, the requestor will be contacted and the tour can be rescheduled or the deposit will be refunded.
3) If there is heavy rain or other unforeseen events, the guide will call the requestor and reschedule or the deposit will be refunded.
4) If the guide is willing to do the tour and the requestor is not, the deposit is forfeited.
We thank you for your interest in our tours.
