The start of the Treasure Hunt will be Kezar Pavilion. The paved fellows are Fredrick Street and Carl Street.

The first line refers again to fire engines. "Thankfully deceased" is another way to say Grateful Dead If you look at the side of these fire trucks, you will find the famous Grateful Dead symbol!

Something big and red, there you might meet.

"Au Gratin" is a form or scalloped potatoes. Big and red refers to fire engines at the firehouse on Stanyan Street at the foot of Grattan Street.

Special permission was received by Fire Station No. 12 from the Grateful Dead (who lived together in this neighborhood) to display their famous blue, white and red skull and lightning bolt on their fire engines. When these fire engines answer a call, you can see the Grateful Dead symbol whizzing by!
